Kira Ragna Ragnarsd�ttir Jakobsen was born on October 4, 1994 on the sunny island of Bornholm, where I still live to this day. Here I live with my father, on a lovely horse estate just outside Nex�. On a daily basis, I go to Bornholm`s Gumnasium, under the Team Denmark scheme, so that at the same time I can ride as much as I have always done.

I started riding when I was around those two years. Since then I have ridden on Shetlanders, Icelanders, pony rides and much more. All of this before I found out that the discipline of Military was just something to me. I first started out competing right in the military when I was approx. 13 years. It was with a cat. 2 pony Baltic Hexia, which I had ridden myself. Things didn`t go so well for the competitions and I didn`t really feel that there was enough potential in her at the time. That`s why my parents decided to buy the seasoned military pony Hesteklewa Jupitor in the fall of 2008. Then it went really strong. Hexia blossomed, becoming a fantastic military pony while joining the national team with Jupitor in the summer of 2009, and has been there ever since. I`ve had a great pony time, with super good results. Now I have turned 16 and have to ride a horse. I`ve got two really nice horses; The mare Amazing Grace and the mural Charlie.

I have always had high aspirations and I hope they can help me along the way, up against the military stars!

Ross and Faith Fields are the primary force behind R&F Stables. Ross and Faith grew up with horses as active participants in U.S. Pony Club and 4-H Club activities, respectively. They are still active in Pony Club with coaching and coordination of Seneca Valley Pony Club regional and national activities. Ross and Faith are members of the Potomac Hunt where they compete on Hunt Teams in the region and at the Washington International Horse Show. Ross is currently serving a second term on the Potomac Hunt Committee. They both teach lessons to a variety of students and judge local shows. Ross and Faith participate in the non-profit regional UPCO Horse Shows association.

Kira graduated from the University of Helsinki in 2009 as a veterinary surgeon. Since 2010, Kira has been working as a veterinarian at Hyvink�� Horse Hospital mainly for orthopedic patients. He is particularly interested in lumbar spines, back problems and preventive health care. Kira is trained in equine spine diagnostics with the Focus on the Equine Spine Training Program. In her spare time, Kiran can be found in dressage training or competitions.
